Bollywood feminists
If you think about it, the biggest feminists in India are the bollywood starlets.
From the 60s onwards, they enjoyed sexual freedom. They slept with whom they wanted, they had kids outside wedlock - in puritan and traditional India, this is unthinkable.
They had their own money, and once they wised up to the fact that they need to manage their money - not moms, managers, or family - they started getting richer as well.
Also, to succeed in their careers, many of them waited to get married. Some got married had kids and continued working. Some decided to not let marriage into their life.
I hope that when young Indian girls look at our starlets, they see economical freedom and sexual liberation, not item numbers and fashion labels.
